The prototype for this piece was a trapezoidal jacquard loose-fit top — the very first garment that Ushatava’s creative director, Nino Shamatava, crafted for the brand in 2015. In the Re-Cut collection, it reemerges with its iconic proportions and silhouette but receives a fresh interpretation — an elongated version replaces the organza lining of the top. The top and dress are connected by a lightweight tie that can be cut, allowing you to create two separate pieces. Both items have undergone hot pressing and now have permanent creases in the fabric. These vivid creases resemble the marks the garment “remembers” when folded.
