According to the ancient Greek myth, Aphrodite was born from the snow-white foam of the sea waves. The iconography of the plot where the goddess of love and beauty comes out of the water and steps onto land developed back in Antiquity. If painters and sculptors depicted the beauty not naked, they dressed her in light ethereal fabrics draped like sea foam with the long train stretching from the wave itself.
We imagined what Aphrodite would look like in the modern world and decided to capture her image in the silhouette of this dress. It is made of a lightweight translucent jersey. Due to the built-in bandeau top, the bodice hugs the chest and is not see-through. The hem skims the floor and forms a long train. But the train comes out of the front of the skirt, not the back. This design allows you to drape the fabric like an ancient Greek robe; the fabric can be thrown over the shoulder, draped over the back, or wrapped around the legs or waist. The skirt has a back slit; its depth has been carefully measured, keeping in mind the average step length.
