For this model, we took the classic shirt, a best-selling item from the Garderobe line, as a basis. It features a moderately oversized silhouette, drop shoulders, and a universal fit—it is designed to suit both women and men. Sculpted pleats that start at the narrow cuffs and run up the sleeves add a touch of drama.
Two differences from the prototype are the fasteners and the material. Instead of buttons, we chose velcros to minimize the weight of the shirt. The cuffs are also lined with adhesive strips for securing them at the wrist. The shirt is made of a fabric that visually resembles paper. In reality, it is a high-tech raincoat material that is lightweight and waterproof. These characteristics allowed us to create a practical wardrobe item that folds into a small velcro-attached envelope sewn to the inside of the back. The shirt is unlined; all edges are laser-cut.
