This coat is named “Operá,” with an emphasis on the last syllable, following French pronunciation. While designing this piece, the Ushatava team envisioned a woman ascending the 30-meter marble staircase of the Paris Garnier Opera wearing it — a fictional cinematic moment we wanted to capture in the name.
The garment stands out for its exaggerated proportions in volume, length, and sleeve width. Its A-line silhouette is particularly striking thanks to the material — a dense, shape-stable semi-transparent organza. You won’t have to leave this outerwear at the coat check — it can either complement a festive outfit or serve as its centerpiece. The coat’s surface is adorned with hand-placed pleats, giving the impression that the piece has been patiently waiting on a wardrobe shelf. A row of concealed buttons secures the coat, topped by one prominent button that we wanted to be noticeable from afar. The garment features two side pockets.
