Lace doilies usually serve as a decorative element for a festive table. Such doilies also appear in FESTIVE MESS, but here they're an accessory for the pillow bag, another very homely item. Each doily in the collection is a unique example of applied art that once decorated a real interior. They are collected from various parts of the country and differ in weaving patterns. The doilies are not attached to the bag, but simply slipped on top, framing it beautifully.
